2026 IAET Scholarship Application
The Italian American Executives of Transportation Organization annually awards College Scholarships to young men and women of Italian American heritage (in whole or in part).
Eligibility for consideration of a Scholarship:
- Applicant must be an Illinois Resident
- 2026 High School Graduate
The Scholarship Committee will review each applicant based on the following:
- An Essay regarding the importance of Italian Americans in the community (asks the applicant to reflect on their impact (current/future) in the community as an Italian American). Applicants should be as specific as possible when completing this portion of the application.
In addition, Applicants required to submit the following information:
- Scholastic Achievements (High School Transcript)
- Extracurricular Activities (Sports teams, School Clubs)
- Community Service (Volunteer activities and frequency/time commitments)
- Financial Need (include any additional Scholarships awarded)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation from a Previous Teacher
- Current Headshot picture (Head and Shoulders – .jpg or ,png format only – 2MG max)
- Additional consideration may be warranted for those applicants displaying a Special Need. (Special Needs could be described as “anyone who may need additional consideration due to a learning or physical disability, or unusual circumstances”).
Important Scholarship Award Requirements:
- Must attend IAET Dinner Dance on November 14th, 2026.
- Stand in respect for our US National Anthem (hand on heart as is protocol).
- Dress respectfully for a semi-formal event (no jeans or casual wear).
Note: Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the forfeiture of any scholarship awarded.
Applicants will be notified in October 2026 of any scholarship awarded. Scholarships will be presented at the IAET Dinner Dance, November 14th, 2026.
